The design

The normandyjug is a tall, baluster-shaped glass jug that features foliage engraved throughout the body. It has a looped, hollow applied handle that is attached first to the top of the jug and ending at the widest point of the body with a turned-up curlicue. The base of the jug is also engraved with a small collar and is marked with ‘WEBB ENGLAND’. This jug was made in the Victorian era and is a beautiful example of its kind.

The material

This Normandy jug was made in the mid-19th century, and is made from a blend of barrel oak and brass. It is embellished with a polished brass handle and crest with castle and leaf motifs. It is a great addition to a bar or wine cellar. The crest is reminiscent of the style found in half-timbered homes throughout the region.
