The region of Normandy has an abundance of apple farms and many of the locals also make cider. It’s also famous for its Calvados, a strong apple brandy.
In addition, Normandy hosts a number of cider festivals throughout the year and the best ones are usually in mid-October and the beginning of December. A full programme of parades, fireworks displays and military enactments are held during these events.
